Ali’s path to the travel industry was shaped by family responsibilities, which led him to an early career in hospitality at the age of 7. Later, in 2003, he moved to Helsinki for a life-changing work opportunity that helped him realize his childhood dream of building a boutique hotel in his homeland – India.
Ali’s journey took a significant turn when he met Xochi during her visit to Jaisalmer. Their shared passion for travel and adventure became the foundation of their partnership. The couple settled in Australia, where they created Narrows Escape, a celebrated luxury boutique hotel nestled in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Inspired by their experiences and love for India’s vibrant landscapes, rich history, and diverse traditions, they launched Narrows Luxury Journey.

Born and raised in the sun-drenched landscapes of Queensland, Xochi is a spirited individual with love for exploration and creativity. She has traveled all over the world. Her adventurous spirit and artistic flair are an integral part of Narrows’ unique approach to travel experiences.
Xochi’s energy and confidence shine through in every aspect of her work. She holds a post-graduate degree in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Melbourne. This unique blend of discipline reflects her deep understanding of people and cultures, which she brings into every journey she designs.
